Welcome to our WordPress tutorial. We hope you find it useful. In this tutorial we use the economics WordPress page as an illustration. The CIPS page has the same structure and style, so anything that applies here also applies there.
- Posts: Posts are entries that display in reverse order on the home page or under categories.
- Pages: Pages are very similar to post, except for the time aspect. While posts are ordered in reverse chronological order, pages are often used to present timeless information– information that is always applicable. Pages are also used to organize and manage any content, including posts. Pages can show in the menu navigation bar.
- Categories: Each post in WordPress is filed under one or more Categories. This aids in navigation and allows posts to be grouped with others of similar content. Categories can also be included int the menu navigation bar.
